Non-Traditional Student Services at Southern Utah University released a newsletter intended to support students during the midterm season. The publication noted that the period can be particularly busy for nontraditional students balancing exams, projects, and deadlines alongside work and family responsibilities.
The university highlighted several resources available to students, including the IT Help Desk for technological assistance and Trula for distraction-free silent study sessions. Students can also access the Career Center for help with resumes, cover letters, and internships. For health needs, the Student Health Clinic offers free services for non-emergency issues, while Four Points Health provides options for more complex concerns.
Food assistance and mental health support are also available through campus resources. The HOPE Pantry provides essential food and toiletry items and offers educational opportunities regarding meal planning and food budgeting. Additionally, students are allotted nine free therapy sessions per school year through Timely Care.
Regarding upcoming academic milestones, the newsletter listed several scheduled dates. Summer 2026 course registration was scheduled for February 5 through February 18. Senior cap and gown pick-up was scheduled for February 25 and 26 at the Hunter Alumni Center. Spring break was scheduled for March 13 and 14, with no classes held and the campus closed on the latter two days. Finals week was scheduled for April 20 through April 23.
The university also noted the implementation of new severe weather notifications to guide campus responses to winter storms. Students can opt-in to receive these updates via text, email, or social media channels.
