The Black Canyon Fire has grown to 2,762 acres and remains at 0% containment. The fire, caused by lightning, is currently active on all sides with an evacuation order in place for the Reeder Subdivision.
The Black Canyon Fire has grown to 2,111 acres with 0% containment as firefighting efforts continue amid hot, dry weather. Utah Army National Guard Black Hawk helicopters are assisting crews as the blaze reaches the mouth of Black Canyon, prompting a community meeting in Spring City on August 7.
