Sage Creek Elementary and the Nebo School District have introduced several updates as a new school year begins. The district is rallying around the theme Be That Friend, featuring Superintendent Rick Nielsen, Lindsey Hughes, and Seth.
Jinyue (Amber) Li has joined the school as the new 1st grade Chinese DLI teacher. Originally from China, Li holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Beijing.
In a recent student spotlight, Tucker Peery earned national recognition through the 2025-2026 National PTA Reflections program.
The district has also held an administrative appointments series to introduce new leaders. Additionally, Tabitha's Way hosted a Gear Up For School event at Landmark High School on August 1, 2026, which provided backpacks to school-aged children.
Upcoming school events include a School Community Council meeting on September 10 and a PTA meeting on September 14.
Other scheduled activities include a teacher development day on September 21 and field trips for 3rd grade to the zoo and 2nd grade to the aquarium in late September.
