Miss Linsey, who is in her fifth year of teaching, stated that her goal is to create a stress-free environment where students feel safe to try new things and make unexpected choices.
The teacher explained that her curriculum involves teaching elements of art, grade-level standards, and various mediums, as well as studying classic and contemporary artists. She noted that students are encouraged to make their work unique, often telling them that their art should not look like hers.
Miss Linsey mentioned that the process of creating art is as significant as the final product. She explained that mistakes are viewed as unexpected opportunities for beauty rather than failures, and that students may not always bring home a finished piece of art after every class.
